- 1. For best results, clean nails thoroughly of natural oils to ensure maximum base coat and nail polish adhesion. Make sure to use acetone-based nail polish remover or a nail dehydrating solution to properly prep the nail plate.
- 2. Apply 1 to 2 coats of Smoothing Base on clean, dry nails. Wrap under the tips of your nails to help prevent tip wear.
- 3. Allow to dry to the touch before applying your favourite nail polish. Or, wear 2 coats alone for a conditioned natural look!
- 4. Don’t forget to seal it all in with a nice thick coat of Glossy Taco for extended wear!

I love this! Not just as a base coat to go under other polishes! When I’m in a rush and can’t do a full mani before work but still want my nails protected and not *****, I go straight to this and a glossy taco! It’s amazing and I love using just this and one of the sparkly tacos, too! It’s a nail saver! Quality Holo Taco product as always!

My only complaint is I wish this were pink-er, but now they've released the Pink version! Overall a very good base. Easy to apply and dries quickly. Fills in ridges in my nails very well.

This was one of my first purchases and I was not at all let down. Works as advertised. I use my hands for a lot of things and have very dented nails as a result. This can make it difficult for most polishes to stick to my nails, but after putting just one coat of this on, my polish stuck and was one of the smoothest applications I've ever had. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone with dinged up nails!

A bit tempremental. Too thick and it's gloopy, too thin and it's patchy. Sometimes in either thick it thin application it doesn't self level enough leaving it bumpy. Takes longer to dry than it should, and can be a bit squishy for a long time afterwards. Easy to ding it up if you're not careful. When it behaves -and you manage to apply that perfect not too thick and not too thin coat, it's an alright base for polish, and seems to last. Not the best ridge filler, far from the worst. The issue is in the fact that it's causing my nails to flake and peel. It's likely the polyvinyl butyral in it, which, unfortunately is also in their long lasting base coat (which i like). Disappointed.

I received the smoothing base as part of a bundle for Christmas and I tried it on first! I did two coats of smoothing and one glossy taco (I also love). I think it gives the perfect "clean" nail look. I hope Simply releases more jellies because I am digging the sheer look.
