I wanted to share my experience with this polish because at some point the original pigment was changed to a much smaller one. From left to right you can see the first bottle of flakie holo taco I bought years ago. It was my first HT polish and I loved it ever since. I’ve bought another bottle because I was running out and that became grey and discoloured- the pigment leaked into the polish formula making it cloudy. HT customer service was amazing and they sent me a new one right away which is beautiful and sparkly BUT as you can see the pigment isn’t the same as in my first bottle. It’s much smaller. I asked them if the polish was reformulated and they said it wasn’t. The reason I’m leaving this review is not to be negative, it’s still a beautiful polish but on one of the recent streams Simply talked about issues with pigment consistency across batches (referring to the new birthstones collection) and I just wanted to say that - yes, it is noticeable, especially to those who have both versions. I know HT works very hard on good quality products, and I have way over 100polishes and will continue to buy. I just miss the better flakie and I hope this better, bigger pigment will get swapped back again if it is available. If not then I’d recommend changing the photos because they look very different than the new pigment which is much finer and less in your face. I understand the argument of not being able to reshoot the entire birthstones collection if some of the shades are restocked because of effort required but this is different because it’s one polish in the permanent catalogue that’s not going anywhere. My hope is that this means they are hoping for the og pigment to return- I might continue buying this every now and then just to see if it was changed back…
