Not as orange as expected

I should have looked at the reviews but I haven't had issues with swatch photos not matching what I received, so I didn't think about it. It's right between orange and yellow, not as clearly orange as the swatch photos indicate. Overall still very pretty

I LOVE this color BUT the formula is bad

2 stars because I LOVE this color BUT the formula is bad. HT needs this nice golden creme. I know yellow is not the favorite but sometimes it's just what you need to complete a mani - so you need something. This color is so bright and fun. Unfortunately it's thick and hard to work with, streaky and sheer. It's definitely a 3 coat polish. Once you get past 2 coats though it starts to feel thick and hard to work with... Benefit of the doubt because I think bright colors like this are hard to make while still not being thick and sheer - color is amazing though. I'd buy again if they updated the formula

Pretty color, poor performance

I love my other HT Polishes, but am continually disappointed whenever I reach for Butterscotch Hop. This shade is so pretty and unique however as other have stated 4 coats required, long dry time, not self leveling. I'm not sure if some of us have just gotten polish from a faulty batch but I'm so glad this wasn't the first HT polish I bought or I may have written off the brand.
